To think of a world without advertising is such an enormous fantasy its almost like thinking of a world without fresh air. Indeed, a bold statement to make considering life on earth depends on fresh air – however I´m feeling rather bold this morning. Companies such as Postalgold rely on adverts to promote their company, to sustain their business. Infact, you would be hard pressed to find a company who doesn´t rely on advertising in some form or another. Then you take Sao Paulo in Brazil, and you see that it is possible to have a city free of advertising. It is of course an idea which will never be taken up by the world, as there is far too much money to be made in advertising – and there are too many people who are reaping the benefits. It is almost impossible to think of a world without advertising – there is so much we are confronted with subconsciously everyday that we don´t even notice. To think of a world without advertising – well that´s also a very bold idea.
